1.Margin Trading

Margin Trading allows for investors to invest and trade using money borrowed from Tickrs. Interest is charged on the margin provided and investors have to put up a collateral (in assets) within the account to cover the credit risk the holder poses for Tickrs. Margin trading can be made available (subject to approval) on request via the app.

2.Accredited Investor

If you are interested in sophisticated investment products, there are certain criteria you’ll need to meet to qualify as an Accredited Investor who meets the requirements of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) who will need to have at least one of these:

● Minimum income of SGD300,000 in the last 12 months (or its equivalent in a foreign currency)

● At least SGD2 million of net personal assets, of which the net value of your primary place of residence can only contribute up to SGD1 million

● At least SGD1 million value of Net Financial Assets (or its equivalent in a foreign currency)

Accredited Investors are assumed to be better informed, better able to access resources to protect their own interests, and therefore, would require less regulatory protection. If you agree to be treated as an Accredited Investor, you will be forgoing the benefit of certain regulatory safeguards as we are exempted from complying with certain regulatory requirements of the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Financial Advisers Act (FAA) and related regulations that provide regulatory safeguards to retail investors.

In short, an Accredited Investor is someone who meets the requirements set out by MAS and has opted in to be treated as an Accredited Investor. Accredited Investors generally have access to a wider range of investment products than non-Accredited Investors, and at the same time require less regulatory protection.

Accredited Investors who no longer wish to have this status will have to sign an opt-out confirmation form.
